“Daddy’s on TV!”

Yes, yes, I know, I know cialis. I haven’t blogged in FOREVER. Well, you can lecture me later online pharmacy!

The reason I’m back is to say that Brian is at AT (annual training) in Idaho for three weeks, and he was interviewed on the local news last Friday generic cialis. The clip is short, but big thanks to Pat Dooris of KGW who got it up on the web for us (after we missed it!). Grace sure loved seeing Daddy on TV viagra online.

 Take a look!

our most recent pic

I have been pretty busy and didn’t come back and to give you a photo from the Dining Out viagra! Brian I had a great time. I spent a lot of time in hotel rooms getting things done while Brian did Drill stuff . We had a lot of time together in the car though … from Portland, to Roseburg, to Medford, to Portland again. The Dining Out itself went pretty well. And the time we did have together was well worth it.

For the first time, we actually paid the money to get the photographer to take a good picture of us. :-) Back when we were first married and went to these things, we never bothered. I’m so glad we did. “Well aren’t you two adorable and cute?” she said. Yeah, I think so!

the big white zone

I was watching a little bit of Shepherd Smith’s Studio B yesterday afternoon, and he reported on this story.  I stopped what I was doing to watch the snow – and silence – settle on Baghdad.

Deployed for Christmas

We don’t often get to read a soldier’s perspective of Christmas while deployed. I came across an article by COL David Hunt today though, which is worth reposting. I especially like the last paragraph! Lest we forget our soldiers overseas:

Being a Soldier During Christmas

Merry Christmas

We’ve been pretty busy the last few days, of course! So here’s a belated Merry Christmas from us. We hope you had a wonderful holiday, as we did!

Happy Festivus!

Just a reminder from us at A Military Wife’s Blog and Russian Kettlebells and Weight Loss Tips
Festivus for the Restivus! Have a great one!

Some days make it all worth it …

Today while I was at work, Brian put Grace down for her nap, at which point she said …

“I want to see Mommy in my dreams.”

That just makes all the difficult days very well worth it!

On our way to a Dining Out

My apologies once again for not keeping this site updated! Ah, but what a slacker I am.

We actually have a new blog, which has taken priority anytime I think of something relevant to talk about. You can check out our new blog if you like, or better yet, add it to your feed (something I’ve started doing, and I love it!): Weight Loss and Fitness. We have been updating that and our other website, Weight Loss Tips & Russian Kettlebells, pretty frequently which is why I haven’t been around!

So anyway, we’ve got a Dining Out this weekend! It has been a couple of years since we’ve been to one since Brian hasn’t been home. You might remember the last one we went to. I think that was in 2005.

Tonight we’re driving down to Roseburg and Brian has Drill, and then tomorrow we’re driving even further, down to Medford. We’ve got the Dining Out tomorrow evening, and then Sunday we’ll drive all the way back so I can do youth group!

Should be fun though. I’m looking forward to it.

I’ll try to come back and let you know how it goes! And yes, I’ll take a pic! (No … thankfully I’m not wearing the same dress, LOL, though that was an option!)

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
