if you’re curious

The Oregonian has an article about Brian’s deployment on the front page today.

major accomplishment

I hung blinds in Grace’s room today.
If I ever have to drill anything again, it will be too soon.
I’m serious… I did the curtains in her room and the office by myself. Then I did the blinds. I about lost my mind and actually had a toddler-like tantrum in the hallway last night right [...]

sneeze, sneeze

How are everyone’s allergies? Pretty bad huh? No comment. I just mowed the lawn and planted four more shrubs before it gets too hot. I couldn’t believe I managed to do all that and even shower before Grace woke up. Now to figure out what we can do today without going outside! At least [...]

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
