Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween, everybody.
I have had a very hard day. For some reason I was extremely down… can’t remember being that depressed in more than a while. I think I have snapped out of it now, but it took hours. Poor Grace, who had to put up with me today. Actually Brian took [...]

insight

None of the blogs that I regularly read are updated! I guess I can’t complain much, huh? I’d be a hypocrite.
I am trying to think of something fun and cheap to do today. I really feel like getting out of the house, but we have so much food here that we probably shouldn’t go out [...]

update

Sorry for such a delay in blogging, once again. I love it when people ask me what I do all day, as if I’m sitting around watching TV. I can’t remember who asked me that last, but it was last week sometime. I try not to get offended and instead laugh to myself. [...]

Gracie’s big day!

Happy First Birthday, Grace!!! We love you and are so proud of you!
More later! I have to go clean up, get showered, and decorate for Gracie’s party. She is “napping,” aka playing in her crib.

it’s late

I am going to try to update this more consistently. Have you noticed that when Brian is home, I’m not here as much?
We just finished watching The Princess Bride. I borrowed it from my dad’s library. That was kinda fun. I had only seen it once, and not since eighth grade or something. [...]

picture time!

I finally got our photo program working. First I had to fix iTunes and then went from there. I am getting pretty good at figuring out these computer quirks. They are bizarre.
I uploaded a ton of pics, and there are more to come. I haven’t even seen Brian’s photos from Louisiana myself yet! Click on [...]

quick update again

Well… I am sick again. I don’t know how it happens, but I’ve been sick more than Grace, I think! LOL. Okay, maybe not… probably the same amount. Gee, wonder why?
She’s not sick right now though, thank goodness. I hope she doesn’t catch it. Sore throat and general ickiness.
Trudy has come and gone, and we [...]

quick one

A very quick update. I don’t have much to say! Brian just left to pick up his mom from the airport. We have a packed weekend ahead of us. Sophie’s birthday is tomorrow, and before that I want to take Trudy to Powell’s. Hopefully I will have the strength to get out of there [...]

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
