big day

Big day tomorrow. We are leaving for Reno in the evening. I am a bit anxious as our trip begins at Gracie’s bedtime and she won’t be settled into bed til quite a few hours later than she is used to. A sleepy baby is not a happy baby. Hopefully on Saturday she’ll be well-rested [...]

*sigh*

I’m not really surprised that Constantine got voted off tonight. Why? Because every year this happens. There are people somewhere in our country who vote using really strange reasons. In this case, they are voting for Scott and whats-his-face, (I once again can’t remember his name, he’s made such an impression), and they’re [...]

Yea! Photos!

Ok, guess what, even just having a few minutes, I managed to get some photos on here for ya. So click here, (or on the link in our links section), click on the photos, and add your comments! (Yes, there are updated photos of Grace and more to come soon!)

big surprise

Portland is the twentieth most depressed city.

We took Trudy to the airport this afternoon and Grace was so sleepy on the way home that she screamed for about ten minutes straight. I mean screamed, not cried. When we got home, I carried [...]

Where oh where is my husband?

Do you think Brian is reading this site? From Iraq? Let’s see if he comments! We miss you lots!

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
