Some days make it all worth it …

Today while I was at work, Brian put Grace down for her nap, at which point she said …
“I want to see Mommy in my dreams.”
That just makes all the difficult days very well worth it!

Happy Third Birthday to Grace!

some new pics

Do you think she’s waiting for Daddy?

We spent one of our first days outside yesterday for this year! It was beautiful. I am paying for it today with allergies, but you know … you can’t stay inside all the time! Grace had a great time playing in the sandbox, swinging, running around, and drawing with [...]

cuteness alert!

Grace sat down at the webcam with me yesterday and sang some songs for Daddy. He hasn’t heard her sing before. Check it out because it’s too cute! Click here, and then here!

a sit in the shower day

Today was definitely a sit-in-the-bottom-of-the-shower day. Last time I ended up sitting on the shower floor, I decided to play the flute again, as a result of the desperate need to get out of the house to be with adults at least once a week. seeing and hearing with Grace

baby steps

Today we went to Freddie’s and stocked up on Dora soup, Dora spaghetti and raviolis, Arthur macaroni, DW macaroni, [...]

Halloween

Papa and Grace at a little carnival at Dad and Nancy’s church on Halloween.
I thought this picture turned out really well. Unfortunately Grace wouldn’t let me get one quick enough of her throwing fall leaves into the air.
It’s the little things, right?
Many more new pics. Be sure to check them out!

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
