our most recent pic

I have been pretty busy and didn’t come back and to give you a photo from the Dining Out! Brian I had a great time. I spent a lot of time in hotel rooms getting things done while Brian did Drill stuff. We had a lot of time together in the car though … from [...]

I was watching a little bit of Shepherd Smith’s Studio B yesterday afternoon, and he reported on this story.  I stopped what I was doing to watch the snow – and silence – settle on Baghdad.

Merry Christmas

We’ve been pretty busy the last few days, of course! So here’s a belated Merry Christmas from us. We hope you had a wonderful holiday, as we did!

On our way to a Dining Out

My apologies once again for not keeping this site updated! Ah, but what a slacker I am.
We actually have a new blog, which has taken priority anytime I think of something relevant to talk about. You can check out our new blog if you like, or better yet, add it to your feed (something [...]

Happy Thanksgiving!

Dad took a picture of us as a family today at Grace’s very first school program.  It’s nice to be together again for the holidays this year.
Wishing you all a great Thanksgiving!

Not much going on – he was with the guys he deployed with though, and they had lunch and caught up. It was actually kinda nice to see him in his uniform again!
He’s working now [...]

Welcome!

I'm Rachel - mom, wife, youth minister, and student! I'm also a deployment survivor! My husband, Brian, is an OEF veteran and returned in June 2007 from Afghanistan. This blog has followed Grace and I while we made our way here at home ... and still now as we all adjust to being a family again and prepare for another deployment in 2009. Thanks for reading!
